Stand-by
Golf of Hawaii opened
in the Islands in January 1997 and now offers some 22
courses to visiting golfers on a daily basis.Unlike
the other Stand-by Golf locations, Stand-by Golf of Hawaii,
covers an entire state, comprised of a chain of islands stretching
more than 300 miles through the North Central Pacific. Of the
eight islands, seven are inhabited, six are visted by tourists
and four are major golf destinations.
Based
in Molokai, the most peaceful and Hawaiian of the Islands, Stand-by
Golf of Hawaii, books golfers at courses on all of the major tourist
Islands - Hawaii, Oahu, Maui and Kauai. Because
of the varying levels of development, the four main islands differ
considerably in what they have to offer the golfer, as well as
the non golfing visitor. Each is unique and each has much to offer
tourists; all are linked by regularly scheduled jet air service
by two major carriers and a range of smaller commuter type airlines
as well. The latter specialize in the minor islands of Lanai and
Molokai.
