Indian Springs is a great course for the high-handicap golfer and very respectable for the low-handicapper as well when played from the back tees. The course features medium to wide fairways, mostly flat except near the desert wash which comes into play on numerous holes.
This course was rebuilt in 2000 overlooking the 6,741-yard layout designed by architect David Ginkel. The front nine is quite long from the back tees and fairly forgiving. Some fairways are lined with trees or desert areas, but most fairways are quite wide. Most of the greens are relatively small but level with the fairways, and slope uphill from front to back. There is not much undulation on the greens, but they are fairly fast and putt true. There are very few sand bunkers on the course, though strategically placed, and eight lakes and streams come into play on eleven of the eighteen holes. The new Indian Springs Golf and Country Club is always in excellent condition and rounds never exceed 4 1/2 hours. A a nine-hole par three course was opened at Indian Springs in 2000.
